May 3, 2018   Joint meeting between Caswell County Board of Education and Caswell County Commissioners (1:00pm).   The purpose of the meeting was for the Board of Education to respond to prior questions from the Commissioners.  Questions asked the Board of Education were related to any cost savings if Stoney Creek was closed.  The response, along with supporting information,  was "no" from the Caswell County Board of Education.   Students would increase their time riding buses to and from school; there would be a need to increase the number of buses on the roads; the remaining elementary schools do not have enough space to accommodate the students; and money spent on transportation would delete any potential savings.   The Board of Education was also asked if the Capital Needs Grant is received in the amount of $15million, what does the Board plan to do with the funds.  The response was that the $15million would go toward the original plans for BYHS renovation/construction but still reduce the total funding down to apx. $27million.
May 7, 2018  Commissioners Meeting (9:00am)
The Commissioners voted to put the BYHS Renovation/Construction and the SAFETY NEEDS for ALL SCHOOLS on the November Referendum Ballot.  The total amount is not to exceed $36.5 million for a total of 30 years.
